Directors
Teddy Mack is the Director of Bands at North Paulding High School. This includes the Wolfpack Pride Marching Band, three concert bands, percussion ensemble, and winter guard.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Mack taught at New Hampstead High School located in Bloomingdale, Georgia in 2016 before moving to North Paulding High School as the Assistant Director of Bands in 2018. He became the Director of Bands at North Paulding High School in 2019.
Mr. Mack completed his Master of Music Education program from the University of Florida in 2021 and the Bachelor of Music Education from Georgia State University in 2016, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Mr. Mack lives in Marietta, Georgia with his wife Regan, dog Apollo and new baby boy.
Levi Lyman is the Assistant Director of Bands at North Paulding High School. He is a dedicated and energetic music educator hailing from Kennesaw, GA. After matriculating through the Cobb County school system, Mr. Lyman earned a Bachelor of Music Education from Kennesaw State University.
Before coming to North Paulding, Mr. Lyman served as the band director for Sierra High School in Colorado Springs starting in 2016. While under his direction, instrumental music enrollment increased from 34 to 130 students, and the instrument inventory doubled to provide cost-free instruments to all students. While at Sierra, the district marching band began consistently qualifying for state finals, and earned two state medals. Additionally, Mr. Lyman was honored as the Teacher of the Year for the 2016-2017 school year and mentored new teachers, underscoring a commitment to professional development and educational leadership.
Mr. Lyman currently lives close to home in Acworth, Georgia with his wife Natalie, his son Karson, his daughter Cadence, and his dog Rosie. When not working for music or enjoying it in his off time, Mr. Lyman enjoys biking, gaming, and painting with his family.
Douglas Edens is the Director of Color Guards. He has been immersed in the color guard community since high school, beginning his performance career at age 15 with a World Class Drum Corps. He marched with DCI for five seasons, including two while still in school, and was selected in 2004 to perform with the DCI Honor Corps at the ABC Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade.
After graduation, Douglas served as Co-Director at his former high school before leading programs in Ohio and Tennessee. Under his direction, teams earned BOA finalist placements, WGI medals, and multiple state championships. He also performed as a soloist with Juxta, a WGI Independent World group. His work has been featured in televised parades, including performances for Kelly Clarkson.
Douglas has designed and consulted for programs across NC, SC, FL, TN, OH, PA, MS, and AL, many of which he continues to support. Beyond color guard, he has worked with nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and the military, bringing leadership and creativity to every role.
Dylan Mixer is the North Paulding High School Percussion Director. Dylan brings a rich blend of experience, passion, and professional insight to his role as Percussion Director. His professional journey in percussion began on the field, performing with Tampa Bay Thunder Drum & Bugle Corps in 2012 and 2013, Bay Area Percussion Ensemble in 2013, and Ancient City Ensemble in 2015 as a snare drummer.
After earning his degree in Music Composition, Dylan's dedication to education quickly became evident as he took on instructional roles at various high schools. He served as Percussion Instructor at Dixie Hollins High School (2012–2014), then as Percussion Director at Largo High School (2014–2017). His commitment to fostering musical growth continued at Seminole High School, where from 2017 to 2023, he guided his percussion ensemble to remarkable success, securing two state championships and earning the prestigious state percussion trophy. His instructional approach emphasizes both technical proficiency and emotional expression, encouraging students to connect deeply with their performances.
Parallel to his teaching career, Dylan is an accomplished professional Film and TV Composer with numerous credits to his name. Over the past five years, he has composed music for various projects, bringing his artistic vision and nuanced storytelling skills to audiences around the world. This ongoing professional experience provides a unique perspective that enriches his teaching, offering students rare insights into the practical applications of music beyond the classroom.
Jacob Morgan is the Director of Bands at Crossroads Middle School, formerly leading Union Grove Middle School’s band to record enrollment and consistent Superior Ratings. He also served as Band Chair for GMEA District VI, developed county-wide band curricula, mentored new directors, and led professional development for Henry County Schools.
As passionate advocate for music education, Mr. Morgan is a frequent presenter at state music education conferences and has organized major GMEA events like District and All-State Band Auditions. Outside of education, Mr. Morgan is active in musical theatre and performs trumpet and piano with ensembles including Tara Winds.
A graduate of Kennesaw State University, Mr. Morgan performed in multiple ensembles and now serves as Vice President of its Marching Owls Alumni Society. He is a member of GMEA, NAfME, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
Emma Boyle is the Director of Bands at Moses Middle School. She holds both a bachelor’s degree in Music Education and a master’s degree in Music Performance – Percussion from the University of West Georgia, where she studied under Katie Byrd. During her graduate studies, she was a featured soloist with the UWG Wind Ensemble, performing works by Joseph Schwantner and Adam Silverman.
In addition to teaching, Mrs. Boyle serves as Operations Director for West Georgia Winds, a nonprofit fine arts organization. She actively supports local arts initiatives and helps organize GMEA District VII events. Her performance experience includes Georgia State University’s Symphonic Winds, Atlanta Quest Indoor Percussion, and the 2020 PASIC International Marimba Solo Competition.
Mrs. Boyle is passionate about music education and community engagement. She lives in Dallas, Georgia, with her husband Tyler and their two cats, Squid and Cheddar.
Katie Hoberg serves as the Director of Bands at Sammy McClure Middle School. She earned her degree in Music Education from the University of West Georgia in 2025, where she distinguished herself as principal saxophonist and Drum Major. Her collegiate experience includes performances in wind ensemble, symphonic band, chamber groups, and percussion ensemble, as well as winning a concerto competition for Heiden’s Diversion.
Ms. Hoberg has an extensive background in the marching arts, performing with Atlanta CV Drum Corps and Atlanta Quest Independent Drumline across brass, percussion, and leadership roles. She has taught various ensembles and maintained a private saxophone studio, working with students throughout Carroll and Paulding counties.
Dedicated to student growth, Ms. Hoberg emphasizes both musical excellence and personal development in her teaching. She fosters a supportive and high-achieving environment in the classroom and on the field. She currently resides in Kennesaw, Georgia with her cat, Momo.
Natalie Letalien is the Director of Bands at East Paulding Middle School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in music education from Kennesaw State University in 2025.
While at Kennesaw State, Ms. Letalien was an active performer in a variety of ensembles, including the Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Marching Owls, and the KSU Horn Choir. She held leadership roles in the band service organization Tau Beta Sigma and the Collegiate National Association for Music Education. In recognition of her dedication and excellence in music education, she was honored with the Bagwell Scholar Award through the Bailey School of Music. Ms. Letalien has taught sectionals in multiple schools and has worked with private students throughout the North Georgia area.
Ms. Letalien student taught at Cass Middle School under the direction of Abigail Russom. While at Cass, Ms. Letalien led multiple ensembles, including the CMS Jazz Band and the 7th and 8th grade concert bands. Ms. Letalien also had the opportunity to guest conduct the Cass Middle School Honor band at the Music for All Festival held in Belmont, Tennessee.
